50th Anniversary Scholarship

The Art Gallery of Northumberland’s Board of Directors moved at its October meeting to establish a scholarship fund in conjunction with the gallery’s 50th anniversary in 2010. The scholarship will be awarded annually to two senior students (one male, one female) who intend to pursue art at the post-secondary school level and are enrolled in a Northumberland Secondary School.

The Board also moved to name the scholarship in honour of past president Alf Blything, who was so committed to young people and their artistic expression.

Contributions to the scholarship will be issued charitable receipts. We hope that you will support the gallery in this legacy project.
