Robert Mothwell: Octavio Paz Suite

One of the most remarkable and significant works in our permanent collection. The Octavio Paz Suite is a powerful statement by two of the most important image-makers of the last half of the 20th century. Both compliment the other because they both shared so much: their acknowledged debt to surrealism, their joint love and knowledge of literature and art, their admiration of each other’s work and their shared moment in time.
