Port Hope Council Developing Cultural Master Plan
Greg Burns (Port Hope council) has written, in numerous newspaper columns, about the Municipality of Port Hope receiving provincial funding to assist with the development of a Cultural Master Plan.
This is a perfect opportunity for arts and cultural organizations and individuals to have their voices heard in what will be a very extensive and inclusive process. The project commenced in October, 2011 and will be completed by the end of March, 2012. A Cultural Plan/Joint Centre Feasibility Steering Committee has been assembled to oversee this process, working closely with the consultant and municipal sta.
Add your voice to this project (ignore Dec. 27th deadline) through the Port Hope web site at www.porthope.ca on the “Comments Sheet” under “Cultural Plan and Joint Facility Feasibility Study”. Link to this from the home page in the left column under "Cultural Plan/Feasibility Study".
November 2012
The Art Gallery of Northumberland is very pleased to announce that we have received a grant to digitize the items in our permanent collection.
The collection will be made available in a web-based system that documents each item in the collection, and that provides complete search capability for the interested researcher.
More on the digitizing project will be published in the coming weeks.
